Piatti Forti is the point where Volcren turns toward the Italian language without giving up electric guitars, digital production or its taste for uneasy atmospheres. The four songs do not tell a single story. They work more like four rooms, each with its own temperature.
Sai che vita moves with appetite, irony and a stubborn attachment to being alive. Onda lontana looks toward the sea, but the distance it carries is emotional as much as geographical. Fluido ipnotico is built around circular movement and repetition: an ordinary rhythm slowly opens into something stranger and almost cosmic. Luna lowers the light and turns inward, toward nocturnal intimacy and suspension.
Singing in Italian changes the weight of the words and the rhythm of the phrases. The language is not decoration here; it pushes the melodies in a different direction. What holds the EP together is not a uniform genre but a recognisable way of looking: physical, ironic, nostalgic and slightly displaced from reality.
The title means “main dishes,” but these are not four attempts to sound important. They are four strong flavours placed next to one another — different, direct and meant to leave something behind.
