Volcren is a virtual rock band and a music project by Paolo Righini. Songs, performances and images meet in a world that begins with human experience.
The work behind the sound
Paolo writes the lyrics, develops original musical ideas, records guitar performances and shapes the artistic direction. AI-assisted music production helps turn those materials into arrangements through an iterative process of prompting, listening, selection and refinement.
Human authorship remains at the centre: the words, the musical intention and the decisions about what belongs in the finished song.
The released chapter
Shadows & Reveries moves between anger, memory and introspection. Different Ways gives original guitar melodies a stronger role. Piatti Forti brings Italian songwriting into contact with rock and digital experimentation.
Across these records and the released singles, the sound makes room for rough-edged vocals, atmospheric and rhythmic guitars, a prominent melodic bass and drums that move between acoustic force and electronic texture. The pulse can be visceral or hypnotic; the songs remain intimate.
A world carried by songs
Paul, Jimmy, Diego and Joe inhabit the Volcren universe. Archemondo is its inner geography: memory and desire passing through cities, roads, the sea and the possibility of transformation.
